My day starts with the morning prayer at 5:00 am after this I take a nap and wake up at 7:00 am, which is followed by a shower and breakfast.

7:45 am to 8:30 am: I watch the news and read relevant articles regarding content and digital marketing as I am a content specialist and digital marketer for a healthcare company.

9:00 am: I reach the office and plan out my day. I check my emails and respond to them accordingly in “urgent to recurrent”. We have a morning hurdle with the team and check daily KPIs followed by individual meetings over the progress of ongoing projects.

10:00 am to 12:30 pm: I prepare a digital marketing plan, blog post, or any social media post-release.

12:30-1:30 pm: Lunch time.

1:30 pm: I work on multiple tasks such as catching up on blog writing, and updates from social channels (Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, etc). Check the key metrics of the main digital marketing domains such as the content domain, SEO domain, social media domain, rank tracking of the website, etc. Ensure the fixes of on-page SEO, blogs, or web if there is an issue that needs to be fixed. Competitor analysis, strategy update, and modification as needed. Check which content has had the most attention and what are the views of the users on it. Look for anything that is unexpected or out of ordinary.

4:00-5:00 pm: Discuss and check the analytics, any outstanding performance or result, and then discuss with the team.

5:00-6:30 pm: Get back to any pending emails and digital marketing plans, writing progress reports that need to be given to the team.

6:30 pm: I head back home, spend time with my beloved one, have dinner, or if there is an event or something on the calendar and then be back home.

9:00 pm: Settle the work for the day, catch up on the blogs, articles, research on digital platforms, and Google. This is important as being in healthcare it company needs to get updated with changing trends.

  • Connecting with different people – The best part of my job is that I get to connect with different people from different walks of life. This helps you in learning new things and you get to know people from other regions, countries, and continents.

  • Since digitalization is changing things overnight, the workload is more for a digital marketer and it gets stressful at times.
  • Time management is the other main big issue when the work keeps coming and it affects productivity.
  • There are no fixed formulas to get successful. The reason being, it is relatively a new industry so there are no such courses or perfect training modules and protocols.
  • The field of digital marketer keeps on evolving so you have to continuously remain in contact with the latest market trends technological developments.
