Insurance Agent – Mike Raines
I help people plan for their future financial needs through the use of insurance products like whole life insurance, indexed universal life insurance, and tax-deferred indexed annuities.
My typical day consists of lots of phone calls. Answering calls from current customers on issues with their policies, updating coverage, etc. It also consists of sales calls to prospective customers, leads that are provided to me from current customers, website visitors, referrals from CPAs, etc.
I also spend a good bit of time meeting via Zoom or in-person with sales prospects for new life insurance coverage. I spend time putting together quotes for coverage. In addition, I spend time on the phone speaking to the home office underwriters for the various carriers I represent in discussing potential risk qualifications for my prospects.
Pros
Some of the pros of my job are helping those individuals find coverage that fits their protection needs for their family or business. It is very satisfying to know that you helped secure their family’s future. Another pro is the unlimited income available thru my profession. I also can make my own schedule and determine my own future.
Cons
Cons would be dealing with some long hours at times and getting used to rejection.
