Day in the life of
Lawyer – Ken Eulo
What do lawyers do all day? People know what they see on television, or if they have had personal experience with an attorney, but most still don’t quite understand what lawyers do in their day-to-day secular lives. Most lawyers, ones with lots of cases to tend to at least, are good at managing time and getting things done in the time that they have.
Most lawyers get to the office early to get emails read and responded to, get up to speed on pending cases, and do necessary research of laws and decisions that play into those cases. Once business hours commence, communication in all its forms; emails, phone calls, meetings, court proceedings, etc., becomes the primary focus of the day. Any off time is spent remaining up to date with the legal world and law regarding an attorney’s particular specialization.
Lawyers
represent clients in criminal and civil litigation and other legal proceedings, draw up legal documents, or manage or advise clients on legal transactions. May specialize in a single area or may practice broadly in many areas of law.
