Day in the life of
Laboratory Analyst – Marcus Tuffin
I work for a Pharmaceutical company as a Laboratory Analyst.
This typical sort of job profile includes rendering situations at testing facilities, examining tests, reassuring drug samples reports, etc. All tests related to terms are governed under my authority.
My day starts at 6 am and ends at 2 pm. This 8 hours complex job includes assigning my team to tasks. And managing reports before time as per demand. After 2 hours we conduct a meeting where reports are delivered on the working and tasks assigned, tools required,
Deadline to the submission, etc. The rest of my day goes by checking instrumentation (usually HPLC) and inspecting samples. This formally acquires all-day as the reports made on HPLC require examining liquids and then form ointments for the company based on the formula. Also, a set of the record is maintained by feeding all the data interpreting it with previous work.
There might be some complications handling samples sometimes as it might ask for detailed sampling which usually takes working for hours on a single sample. This is due to a new source of product which might ask for a detailed classification of components.
