A good camera rental manager should be good under pressure, personable, organized, forward thinking, and most importantly of course, knowledgeable about professional camera equipment and how the equipment is utilized. Resource and operations management are also crucial to make sure you’re spending intelligently and optimizing your department to be as efficient as possible without sacrificing quality control.

Experience on-set is almost a must to be able to anticipate needs and to garner knowledge of what equipment is the industry standard. It’s the culmination of these skills that will allow you to become quick on your feet while maintaining quality control and doing your part in the intricate dance that is production.
