Day in the life of
Technical Writer – Robert Johnson
For me, being a technical writer proves to be an easy task especially if the person has already been thoroughly acquainted with the technical environment. The challenge this usually imposes though is the fact that I have to be specific with all the technicalities I am working on and at the same doit in such a way that it does not involve too much jargon to the point that it is no longer comprehensible. There has to be a balanced mix of making it understandable for the readers and not compromising the technicality of what one is writing.
In my case, I usually write first then have a person thoroughly acquainted with the field I am writing about to check if I have all the complexities and technicalities laid out. Lastly, I let a person not thoroughly familiar with the field read it just to check and ensure if the person can still understand it despite all the jargon.
