My daily job differs slightly from general CPAs because I also have to account for running the business and taking care of those duties. With that being said, my general tasks include liaising with potential and existing clients, investors, etc, discussing work and projects with employees, organizing and updating account records, analyzing transactions, forecasting revenue and profit, and staying up to date on industry changes.

Pros

The pro of my job is that I get to deal with finances (which is something that I really enjoy). While this might not be a pro for everyone, going into the industry you really should have an interest in dealing with numbers and money if you want to enjoy what you do.

Cons

As for the con, I’m a bit of an introvert when it comes to speaking to people. So, when I have to start dealing with clients I am taken out of my comfort zone a little, which can tend to make one tired after a long day of speaking to many different clients. In a lot of ways, however, this can also be considered a pro because it helped me to push myself in the areas I wasn’t strong with and improve on my skills.
