Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering |
Marine architects must have a bachelor’s degree in marine engineering, naval architecture, marine systems engineering, or marine engineering technology. Some marine architects have bachelor’s degrees in mechanical or electrical engineering. Programs in marine engineering, naval architecture, marine systems engineering, and marine engineering technology are accredited by ABET.

You will need a considerable amount of work-related skill, knowledge or experience to be a Marine Architect. For example, an accountant must complete 4 years of college and work for several years in accounting to be considered qualified.
