It’s not just about reconciling bank accounts. Our bookkeepers also prepare insightful month end reports, VAT returns, and payroll. There’s not really a limit as to what we get our bookkeepers involved in where they show competence. For example, we can get them involved in supporting our accountants to prepare budgets and forecasts. Some of the less obvious tasks would also include anything from dealing with stock takes and managing inventories to supporting clients with applications for loans or grants. A great bookkeeper will also keep in regular contact with their clients to discuss the finances in a bit more detail and provide support with any queries they may have.
