Day in the life of

I am responsible for everything, so no day looks the same. One day may have me focusing on outreach – for speaking engagements, media mentions, networking, etc. interspersed with my “actual work” – working with clients. I’m also posting on social media, writing blogs for my website, having client consults to see if we’re a good fit to work together, and more.

Even working with clients, no day or even no session looks the same. It is so exciting that each session unfolds in its own way. I don’t have a set process – step 1, step 2, etc. I show up and see what is needed at that time. My clients have all the answers and when I show up honoring that, magic happens!

As an Integrative Hypnotist, I work with amazing clients to make incredible life changes!

Like Sarah, who came for her “crippling fear of flying” – here she is skydiving! AND she went on to create a very successful business as “The Five Foot Traveler!”

This sweet young girl used to have 2 adults holding her down, kicking and screaming to get shots. Her mom said, “It may sound corny, but this was miracle level stuff!”

(Her pediatrician has been sending me her patients with fears for over a decade.)

Kristen struggled with panic attacks, anxiety, and insomnia for a year before coming to work with me. She’s been panic attack free for almost a year now.

When I’m not working with clients, I am busy networking, pitching and appearing on podcasts, pitching and giving talks…all to get more clients.

I call my sweet rescue dog Maggie my “therapy dog.” because she is always with me when I’m working with clients and her energy is so calming!

Here is the door to my office – what a great reminder!

Here’s where I work

And what my clients see when we are working on Zoom (that’s my book “Goodbye Anxiety, Hello Freedom”)

and this is to remind my clients to spread their wings and SOAR!

Pros

The pros of being an Integrative Hypnotist – I KNOW I am doing the incredible work I was meant to do – changing people’s lives in real and meaningful ways which then ripples out into their families, friends, co-workers. I am fulfilled in an incredibly deep and meaningful way. I am in control of my schedule. I like to take Fridays off during the summer, and an employer might not allow that.

Cons

The cons of being an Integrative Hypnotist – constantly having to put myself out there to get more clients. I cannot depend on a fixed income, like when you are paid by an employer. Also, EVERYTHING falls to me. In an ideal world, I would love to just be able to be working with clients all day long!

It’s a lot of work, BUT, it’s worth it because I absolutely LOVE what I do and there is NOTHING more rewarding than seeing the amazing changes my clients make!
