Day in the life of
Cybersecurity Analyst – Eric Florence
I breathe all things technology all day everyday if you’d like a short summary of my schedule. However, ⅔ of my time I dedicate to a lot of research and content writing for our website, where I share informational and educational content about things like computers, wireless, cybersecurity, and other tech topics. The good part is that the rest of my time I dedicate to consulting, doing some cybersecurity work for clients who would like me to check on their systems, and also any side jobs I might have at the time which might include some tech marketing.
Pros
The pros are that I have more than one source of income by doing this, and I still get to talk and work in the industry that I love. I get to share very valuable information with a less technical audience, so people who are not as tech-savvy.
Cons
The cons are that sometimes I don’t have enough time in the day to do everything I want and need to do, so I need to keep in mind when it’s time to “clock out” and live my life outside work. Working remotely made me realize that it’s very easy to blend both areas of your life, personal and professional since we are already at home.
