Boilermakers
Boilermakers construct, assemble, maintain, and repair stationary steam boilers and boiler house auxiliaries. Align structures or plate sections to assemble boiler frame tanks or vats, following blueprints. Work involves use of hand and power tools, plumb bobs, levels, wedges, dogs, or turnbuckles. Assist in testing assembled vessels. Direct cleaning of boilers and boiler furnaces. Inspect and repair boiler fittings, such as safety valves, regulators, automatic-control mechanisms, water columns, and auxiliary machines.

Entry-level Boilermakers with little to no experience can expect to make anywhere between $39,620 to $53,240 per year or $19 to $26 per hour. Similar to any other job, their salary will increase as they gain experience.

Another simple way to increase your salary as a Boilermaker is to move to a higher paying state. However moving to a higher paying state like CT doesn’t guarantee that you will make more because the expenses at CT might be much higher than where you are currently living at right now.
